Watch and listen as the Santa Barbara Symphony showcases its versatility of sound and repertoire in an adventurous and exciting way by partnering with local rock n’ rollers, The Doublewide Kings, in an evening celebrating the spirit of the psychedelic era. The orchestra and band shared the Granada stage on Nov. 8, 2025, to perform powerful renditions of some of the most potent, signature tunes of the ‘60s and ‘70s, including works by The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, and, of course, The Grateful Dead. The Doublewide Kings are a long-running Santa Barbara institution that has entertained ecstatic crowds with shows paying tribute to artists such as Neil Young, CSN, and the Allman Brothers. When The Symphony and The Kings combine talents to put the classical into classic rock, it’s always a night of exceptional sounds.
