Meet Our Musicians – Jon Lewis
Meet Jon Lewis, Principal Trumpet of the Santa Barbara Symphony
Watch and listen to the Santa Barbara Symphony showcase its versatility of sound and repertoire in an adventurous and exciting way by partnering with local rock’n’ rollers, the Doublewide Kings, in an evening celebrating the music of Van Morrison. The orchestra and band shared the Granada stage on Nov. 11, 2023 to bring the songs of Van Morrison – – radio classics, album favorites and some surprises – – to new symphonic heights. The Doublewide Kings are a long-running Santa Barbara institution who have entertained ecstatic crowds at the Lobero Theater with shows paying tribute to such artists as Neil Young, CSN and the Allman Brothers. When the Symphony and the Kings combine talents to put the classical into classic rock, it’s sure to be a night of exceptional sounds.
