Davis is a distinguished business executive with over 35 years of experience that include commercial banking, ambulatory care management and venture capital. Since becoming a part time resident of Santa Barbara, Davis has committed his time here to establishing Santa Barbara Records a small, independent record label that was founded for the purposes of developing, curating and promoting regional musicians, primarily in the Folk/Americana genre. There are three fundamental elements to our strategy — exporting the Santa Barbara sound to a global audience via recorded music; providing resources, strategic support and informational content to regional artists and the arts; and promoting merchandise from local makers that support this mission. Our vision is to build a platform that helps deliver professional sustainability for artists, positively impacts the local creative economy and helps lead Santa Barbara’s recognition as a music destination. To date, they have released about 10 albums, comprising nearly 20 different artists within the central coast region.

Before becoming a Santa Barbara resident Davis and his wife resided in Telluride, Colorado where they lived and raised their family for 22+ years. He was very active in the community including – Mayor of the Mountain Village, Board member of: Telluride (community) Foundation, R-1 School District, Telluride Airport Authority, Telluride Medical Center, Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club, Telluride Education Foundation. Davis and his wife split their time between Santa Barbara and Denver, Colorado.
