The Santa Barbara Symphony Chorus
The Santa Barbara Symphony Chorus
The vision for The Symphony Chorus is to open up opportunities for choral singers who may or may not currently be a member of a chorus, uniting the entire choral community in one large chorus under the direction of our very own Nir Kabaretti, Music & Artistic Director of The Symphony.
This dynamic ensemble debuted on April 26 & 27, 2025 alongside the Santa Barbara Symphony, singing Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem at the Granada Theatre.
Experience the Power of Voices United
The Santa Barbara Symphony Chorus returns to the spotlight for two unforgettable performances during the 2025/26 season. First, join us for the Mozart Requiem on November 15–16, 2025, featuring the beloved choral masterpiece alongside a world premiere double trombone concerto. Then, be there for the monumental season finale: Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony on May 16–17, 2026—a transcendent work that brings orchestra, chorus, and soloists together in an awe-inspiring celebration of life and renewal. Don’t miss these two landmark events.

“Santa Barbara is blessed with several outstanding community and collegiate choral ensembles,” said Music & Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti. “The Santa Barbara Symphony aims to unite singers throughout this vibrant choral community, creating new opportunities for those who may or may not belong to an existing chorus. Together, we’ll form one powerful ensemble, bring Brahms’ masterpiece and more to life!”
